EPA Green Power CertifiedGreen power is electricity produced from a subset of renewable resources, such as solar, wind, geothermal, biomass, and low-impact hydro. Buying green power is one of the easiest and most effective ways to improve your organization’s environmental performance.

A voluntary program that supports the procurement of green power by offering expert advice, technical support, tools and resources to help a company lower the transaction costs of buying green power, reduce its carbon footprint, and communicate its leadership to key stakeholders. We are an EPA Green Power Partner and BOLYU Commercial Carpet was honored with a 2009 Green Power Leadership Award by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

cri green label plusDesigned by The Carpet and Rug Institute to provide assurance that carpet products meet stringent criteria for low chemical emissions (VOCs) and geared towards carpet specifiers who are looking for a method to evaluate different carpets. Every carpet receiving Green label Plus certification has been tested for emission levels for all chemicals as required by Section 01350, plus six additional chemicals, utilizing a 14-day test.

All BOLYU Commercial products have achieved the CRI Green Label Plus. Puralex®, our odor-reducer, helps lower VOCs and minimize indoor air odors.

carpet america recovery effortOur company is a Corporate Sustaining Partner in Carpet America Recovery Effort‘s program. CARE is a nonprofit organization which solicits contributions (financial and otherwise) from corporations, government agencies and anyone else with a vested interest in diverting carpet from landfill. Each contribution signifies good faith support and a willingness to participate in the process of helping achieve CARE’s objective of 40% landfill diversion by the year 2012.
